CAMLICA HILL

The hill is a popular visitor attraction with Ottoman-themed teahouses, cafes and a restaurant inside a public park with monumental trees, flower gardens and fountains, run by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

GRAND CAMLICA MOSQUE

Camlıca Mosque (Turkish: Camlıca Camii) is a mosque located in Istanbul and the largest mosque in Turkey. The mosque can hold 63,000 people and includes a museum, art gallery, library, conference hall, and underground parking lot for 3,500 vehicles.

Camlıca Mosque was designed by two female architects, Bahar Mızrak and Hayriye Gül Totu. The length of the four mosque minarets span 107.1 metres, a measurement that refers to the Battle of Manzikert (1071) fought by the Seljuk and Byzantine Empires.

Of course, the hill of Pierre Loti is the best place to get a nice glimpse of the view of the Golden Horn. Pierre Loti, which is approximately 55 meters (180 feet) high, takes its name from the famous French novelist and traveler who lived in Istanbul at the time. You should enjoy the beautiful view with a Turkish coffee at the facility located on the hill in the Eyüp district. You can also consider the alternative of climbing the hill by cable car to witness wonderful views.

Located in the shadow of Istanbul’s first bridge, Beylerbeyi Palace (Beylerbeyi Sarayi) was historically a summer residence for Ottoman sultans. The 24 rooms of the palace contain a mix of Ottoman and Western decoration, with 19th-century furniture from Europe and garden pavilions, and its ornate exterior is visible from the Bosphorus Strait.

The Eyüp Sultan Mosque ( Turkish : Eyüp Sultan Camii) is in the Eyüp district of  Istanbul , outside the  city walls  and near the Golden Horn. On a much older site, the present building dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The mosque complex includes a mausoleum marking the spot where Ebu Eyüp el-Ansari (Abu Ayyub al-Ansari), the standard-bearer and companion of the  Prophet   Muhammad , is said to have been buried.

THE CİTY WALLS

Marking the boundaries of Istanbul’s historical center, the Istanbul City Walls (Walls of Constantinople) still stand on the Old City peninsula. Built in the fourth and fifth centuries, the defensive walls were breached in 1453 when the Ottomans conquered Constantinople. Today many sections have been restored and cut through bustling historical neighborhoods.

Istanbul Bosphorus Cruise is an excellent activity to do in Istanbul. Lunch on the Istanbul Bosphorus by the boat cruise and sightseeing in between Asia and Europe watching both sides. The Bosphorus Lunch Cruise is one of the best ways to discover Istanbul in its full beauty. The Bosphorus Strait, which separates the two continents and connects the Black Sea to the Marmara Sea is theonly water canal in the world where you can cruise between Europe and Asia.
