Our stuff will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning. We will go to Troy where we will visit the famous archeological and mythological site of Troy, home of the Troyan Horse and Helen of Troy€. End of the tour we will back to Istanbul and drop you off to your hotel.

Without a doubt Troy is the most famous city of the ancient world, capital of a land of myths and legends of heroes and Gods and a land that this tour can take you to. After the lunch in Eceabat enjoy a lovely ferry ride across the Dardanelles to Canakkale. During the tour your guide will explain the mythology surrounding Troy, as well as the history and discoveries of the archaeological excavations from its discovery by Heinrich Schliemann in the 1870s to the presentday. Nine cities have been discovered built one on top of the other dating back to before 3500 BC, with the city made famous by Homer in his book the Iliad describing the ten year war being just one of the layered settlements.Not only will you see the still impressive defensive walls of the ancient city and learn the story of the Trojan War, but you will also be able to walk past the ruins of everyday houses dating back more than 3000 years. The land lies between the Dardanelles, sea of Marmara and Edremit bay. It was called Troas or Troad in ancient times. The present location is known as Hisarlik. It was the place of the Troyan war described in the Greek cycle Iliad. The myth says Troyan war was caused because Troyan prince Paris stole Helen, wife of Menelaus, king of Sparta.

The Wooden Horse-At the entrance of the ruins was built 1975. The myth says that horse was used as a war trick. The Troyans took it inside as a gift from Spartans, without knowing soldiers were in it.
